Departmental infrastructure

Departmental Computer Centre: In addition to the central computer center, the department has its own dedicated computer labs which have 60 DELL workstations having latest configurations to fulfill the needs of latest design and simulation softwares used in the field of Electrical Engineering. Computer labs are connected to internet through 100Mbps (1:1) full duplex optical fiber leased line from HFCL Connect. Access of around 120 reputed journals in various branches of engineering through web portal of IEEE i.e. www.ieeexplore.ieee.org. are available for the use of students and faculty members. The department has its own website www.ee.bbsbec.ac.in for providing information about the department.

Softwares:
The department is well equipped with the softwares required for the Power System Analysis & Design and Simulation of electrical power systems. These softwares include MATlab Release 14 SP3 Network Licence 25 User, ETAP 7.0.0 Network Licence 10 User and PSCAD 4.6.

Departmental Library: In addition to the central library, the department has its own library which has reference books, journals and old question papers for the reference of the students and staff members. Previous project and training reports are also placed in this library for ready reference of the students.
